Free course in mastering old records, manuscripts and documents

If you are interested in old manuscripts and documents, perhaps of local significance, you may be interested in the following received from John Hopkins, archivist-

John Hopkins, a retired archivist in Stoke Prior, is offering a free course in mastering old records over a period of several weeks from Wednesday 9 March in Stoke Prior Village Hall.  It is proposed to work back from about 1900 to the fifteenth century.  Attendees will have a chance to read copies of old documents and learn how to transcribe them.

Homework will be voluntary!  Later on there will be a Latin option for anyone interested.  Sessions will last from 2pm to about 3.30.  There will be a small charge to cover cost of hiring the hall (£1 or £2).
